IR³ Marine
The XP95 Marine Intelligent IR³ Flame Detector is designed to protect areas where open flaming fires may be expected. It is sensitive to low-frequency flickering infrared (IR) radiation emitted by flames during combustion. Since it responds to flickering radiation, the IR³ Flame Detector can operate even if the lens is contaminated by a layer of oil, dust, water vapor, or ice.
- Reliable flame detection in areas with a temperature range from -10°C to +55°C
- Heavy duty, highly corrosion resistant stainless steel housing
- IP65 environmental protection
- Set to respond to low-frequency radiation at 1 to 15 Hz
- Uses filters and signal processing to aviod False alarms due to flickering lighting
- Model 55000-034MAR
IR³ Intrinsically Safe
The Conventional I.S. Flame Detector (IR³) is designed for harsh environments in either indoor or outdoor applications. It is sensitive to low-frequency flickering IR radiation emitted from flames during combustion. The sensor operates even through a layer of oil, dust, water vapor, or ice.
- ATEX & IECEx certified: II 1 G
- CENELEC/IEC Certified: Ga Ex ia IIC T4
- Class 1 sensitivity to EN 54-10 detects 0.1m2 fire at 25m
- High optical interference immunity
- Selectable response speed
- Optical self-test
- Low power consumption
- Model 55000-063APO
IR³ Flame
The XP95 Flame Detector (IR³) is designed to protect areas where open flaming fires may be expected. It is sensitive to low-frequency flickering IR radiation emitted by flames during combustion.
- Loop-powered
- Sensitive to flickering IR radiation
- Detects through films of oil, dust, water vapor, and ice
- Responds to flickering flames, including those invisible to the naked eye
- False alarms due to lighting or flickering sunlight are minimized
- Compatible with Discovery and XP95 protocols
- Model 55000-020APO
IR² Flame
The XP95 Flame Detector (IR²) is designed for use in areas where flaming fires may be expected. The detector has two sensors which respond to different IR wavelengths to discriminate between flames and spurious sources of radiation.
- Sensitive to flickering IR radiation
- Detects through films of oil, dust, water vapor, and ice
- Responds to flickering flames, including those invisible to the naked eye
- Compatible with Discovery and XP95 protocols
- 90° field of view
- Up to 40m coverage
- Model 55000-280APO
Third-Party Flame Detectors
Overwatch has the ability to interface with a third-party flame detector. The detector output can connect to an Input Module or RS-485/Ethernet network and be powered by the Control Panel’s auxiliary voltage output.
- The Marine Spectrex SharpEye 40/40I Triple IR Flame Detector is one example third-party device that can interface with Overwatch.
- Use a Contact Input Module or RS-485 network with Modbus to interface
- Power the detector from the Control Panel using the 24VDC Auxiliary Output Voltage
IR³ Detector Base Mounted
The XP95 Flame Detector (IR³) is designed to protect all indoor areas, even in dirty or smoky conditions where open flaming fires may be expected. The detector has three IR sensors that respond to different IR wavelengths in order to discriminate between flames and spurious sources of radiation. The device plugs into an XP95 compatible detector base. Note: This device is not suitable for use in applications that require compliance to MIL STD-461 high-impact shock
- Responds to stationary flames with no flicker
- Sensitive to low-frequency flickering IR radiation emitted by flames during combustion
- Compact flame detector which fits into Discovery or XP95 bases
- Loop-powered
- False alarms due to factors such as flickering sunlight are avoided by a combination of filters and signal processing techniques
- Model 55000-024APO
